Professor Emerita at university of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Nursing. Many years experience as researcher and educator in long term care with a specific focus on workforce development, turnover and retention as well as models of care. Founding director of the Center for Aging Research and Education at the UW Madison School of Nursing. .Currently a volunteer omudsperson with the Wisconsin Bureau of Aging and Long term Care. Has also worked as CNA, charge nurse and nurse practitioner in several nursing homes in Michigan and California.
