Tip #3: Every Second Will Count for Post-Acute Care
Are you ready with 50 days left to prepare? The deadline is fast approaching to prepare for the transition to ICD-10. Pathway Health has been training providers across the nation, and we wanted to share some issues, comments and questions that have been presented to our consultants and trainers.

A memo published by CMS states that physician or other practitioner claims billed under the Part B physician schedule will not be denied, if the code is in the same family. This only applies to physicians and other eligible providers.
Post-acute care is not considered a provider under this coding. We are nursing homes, home health care and hospice. A VALID ICD-10 CODE WILL BE REQUIRED ON ALL CLAIMS STARTING OCT. 1, 2015.
